David Ettedgui

David Ettedgui is a senior partner at Kliger Ettedgui Legal Inc., where his practice focuses on civil and commercial litigation, real estate law, and corporate law. Accredited as both an arbitrator and mediator, he also assists in resolving disputes in a constructive and fair manner. With extensive experience, he has served since 2018 as Chair of Investigation Committees at Quebec’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education. His expertise has also been shared in academia as a lecturer at HEC Montréal, where he taught legal concepts in business.
Deeply involved in the legal community, his contribution is remarkable: as Bâtonnier (president) of the Bar of Montreal in 2023–2024, he contributed to several key initiatives, including the launch of an awareness campaign to combat the illegal practice of law, as well as the creation of the Arrêt sur le droit podcast in partnership with the Supreme Court of Canada.
His academic background includes an LL.B. in Civil Law, a Juris Doctor, and a Master’s degree in Common Law (LL.M.) from the Université de Montréal, as well as a diploma in European Integration from Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3. He is a member of both the Quebec Bar and the Ontario Bar.
Beyond his legal work, Mtre. Ettedgui sits on several boards and collaborates with various community organizations. Fully bilingual in French and English, he combines expertise and rigor with a human and strategic approach to best serve his clients.
